March is a month full of celebration and cake at our house. This month my youngest son will turn 13, my daughter will turn 18, Dear Husband and I will celebrate our 15h Wedding Anniversary and I will turn 41.

In honor of all of the above I share this cupcake machine embroidery design! Fat free and fun to stitch up for anyone.

Baby Bunny Baby Quilt

After many hours of being ‘in a mood’ it was time to calm down and be a bit creative. For reasons I won’t begin to try to understand I’m stuck in a ‘pink baby’ blanket phase. For that I have a new baby quilt to share with you.

The finished size is 41″ x 41″

At this time I have it as an Electric Quilt 6 Project.
If you would like this Baby Bunny Quilt, the Applique Bunny Block and the Quilt Stencils that I’ve added to it sent me a Contact Message or leave a comment.

Quilt Projects for EQ6

Once again, I have been very quiet as far as posting to this blog. I have been busy, and will post pictures of some of my finished projects and their stories soon. For now I wish to share two quilts created in Electric Quilt 6.

In time I hope to have these in PDF format for those who do not have EQ6. First I need to install the software I used to create and edit PDF files. Until then, feel free to download the files, and if you know someone who has EQ6 maybe they will print them up for you.

News Paper Quilt (what’s black & white & red all over?)

Neapolitan Quilt (the pink/brown/white reminds me of ice cream)

Here is the fabric yardages:
Neopolitan - Brown Background=3 1/4 yds, White Print=3/4 yd, Green (leaves)=1/2 yd, Orange Print=1/8 yd, Pink/Brown Print=7/8 yd, Border Print=1 yd (assuming borders are pieced), Yellow Print=3/8 yd, Green (stems)=1/8 yd.

News Paper Quilt - White=2 5/8 yd, Red=1 1/8 yd (assuming borders are pieced), Black=2 5/8 yd.

After downloading follow the instructions in your EQ6 manual. The directions for ‘Opening a Project Sent by E-mail’ on page 113 of the user manual should work fine. If not let me know - I may have messed something up.

Free App Friday from Handango.com

Just thought I’d slip this short post in for you. Especially if you are a gadget geek like I am. Awhile back Handango.com started a new fun (sort of) feature: Free App Friday. Once a week they give away a licensed application for PDAs, SmartPhones, Windows Mobile devices, Palm device, Blackberry devices and probably more. Each Friday it will be something different - but only one program.
Last time I checked the freebie was for a Palm device, and today it is for a Blackberry device - niether of which I own, so no use to me. But, patience is a virtue and in time I know they’ll have something I can use, or will be interested in. Currently I use an AT&T Tilt - I love it!
